Frequently Asked Questions:

1. What should I do when I arrive at the airport or the train station?
How do I find my driver? When you have your bags and are ready to go, call 413-253-1350 from your cell phone, or 800-872-8752 from a pay phone, and press "1" to reach our dispatcher. They will explain where and when to meet your driver. You must check in with us before we can send the van to pick you up.
2. How much should I tip the driver?
15% to 20% of the fare is the norm, but the tip is whatever you feel comfortable giving.
3. Where will I be picked up?
We provide door to door service for the towns and central pick up locations on campus. We will pick you up at your home or at the hotel you are staying at. Students will be picked up at the designated pick up location depending on which school he/she is attending.
4. What time will I be picked up?
When setting up a reservation to Bradley Airport, we will give a half hour window of time of when to expect the van and will confirm the day before travel with an exact time. When traveling from Bradley, our shuttles depart every hour with advance reservations on the half hour (1:30, 2:30, 3:30 pm etc). VIP and long distance trips are on demand and you set the time you wish to be picked up.
5. What happens if I miss the van?
If you miss the scheduled van departing from Bradley we will get you on the next available shuttle, which is typically an hour later, depending on the day's schedule.
6. What do I do when I arrive at the airport or train station?
When you have your luggage call our dispatcher at 413-253-1350 and press extension #1. The dispatcher will let you know where and when to meet your driver.
7. What times (how often) do the shuttles run?
We operate hourly with advance reservations. Our shuttles drop off at Bradley on the quarter hour (8:15, 9:15, 10:15 am etc) and pick up on the half hour (1:30, 2:30, 3:30 pm). The first van drops off at 5:00 A.M. and the last shuttle picks up at 12:30 am.
8. Is there a charge for my infant/toddler?
Yes, please see our "Group and Family" rates under "Sample Rates".

9. Do I need a car/booster seat and do you provide them?
A. It is a Massachusetts law that children under 5 years or weighing less than 40 lbs be in a car or booster seat. You will need to provide the seats, and install them in the van.
10. What is your cancellation policy?
We require 48 hours advance notice before time of pick up to cancel without charge. With less than 48 hours, you may be subject to full charge.
11. How much luggage may I bring?
Each passenger is allowed 2 bags plus 1 carry on, anything more would incur an extra fee.
12. How many other passengers are on the van?
Our vans seat up to 8 passengers with luggage. The number of passengers on each shuttle varies depending on the day's schedule.
13. How do I pay for this?
When setting up the reservation we require a credit or debit card to hold the ride. We accept Visa, Discover and MasterCard. The passenger has the option to the pay the driver directly in cash or to charge the fare to the card. The fare is charged the day before travel.

Send in a request to vt@valleytransporter.com for your receipt, referencing the date(s) of travel and the passenger's name.
15. How soon should I make a reservation?
We take reservations up to 4 months in advance. We recommend as much advance notice as possible so we can best accommodate you.
16. Do you have discounts for students/families/seniors?
